From our long-standing ISO 14001 accreditation; our partnership with ChangeWaste recycling; to our wide range of tenant disciplines, some of whom have achieved B Corp status, we are well placed to partner you to succeed with your sustainability goals.
embodied carbon
We prioritise the renovation of our existing historic buildings over construction. Some of our buildings are over 200 years old. By doing so we are reducing our use of raw materials and further reducing carbon emissions that would be higher with demolition and new builds.
Operational carbon
We have a strong focus on the reduction of day-to-day carbon emissions within our buildings. We have introduced super-efficient LED lighting and work with ChangeWaste recycling. This allows our tenants to contribute towards the overall goals of Eskmills.
ISO 14001 Accreditation
We have held this accreditation since 2004 and are proud to have achieved, and retained, such a prestigious and world-leading environmental management compliance standard. It requires the strictest management and compliance to minimise environmental impacts.
Energy efficiency
We are well on our way to making our community as efficient as possible with the rollout of efficient LED lighting and we currently have an average EPC rating of A across our buildings.
Green travel
We provide an abundance of bike storage along with on-site shower facilities. This helps to encourage tenants to cycle to work. We also offer EV charging facilities and hope to extend these in the future. Eskmills is also well placed within local infrastructure and is easily accessible via train, bus and via the national cycle route.
Community wellbeing
With our commintment to natural and biodiverse spaces within Eskmills, we encourage our community to take advantage of the mental and physical benefits of their surroundings. We work with all tenants to ensure they have everything they need to achieve their own sustainable targets.
